John Shepherd

John is a 30 year veteran of the chemical industry with experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and blending operations. An ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 internal auditor, his knowledge and experience with industry-based management systems including Responsible Care® and Responsible Distribution® includes their application, conformance auditing, and continuous improvement activities.

In addition, John has 20+ years of experience with implementing and auditing quality and safety management systems. His background includes an in-depth knowledge and practical application of various regulatory requirements including hazardous materials transportation, workplace safety, incident investigation and root cause analysis, risk management planning and process safety management.

John has 17 years of experience in creating and conducting training programs to satisfy various regulatory requirements found in DOT and OSHA regulations as well as Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis, and site safety assessment programs for hazardous material delivery locations.

John has been involved in the implementation of management systems and has worked with a number of organizations to support the following  standards: ISO 9001,  ISO 14001, RCMS and RC 14001.
